When a call is open, eligible applicants apply to the funder or the organisation running the call.

All proposals must be submitted electronically via the EU Funders & Tenders Portal electronic submission system (accessible via the topic page in the Search Funding & Tenders section).

Usually €10,000,000 EUR

Around EUR 10 million per project; proposals may request other amounts.

The Commission estimates that an EU contribution of around EUR 10.00 million would allow these outcomes to be addressed appropriately. Nonetheless, this does not preclude submission and selection of a proposal requesting different amounts.

Living labs in at least three EU Member States and/or Horizon Europe Associated Countries (Europe)

cover different geographical regions or climate zones and at least three different EU Member States and/or Associated Countries, including sites in outermost regions

What the funder asks grantees to report

Reporting

Consortia submit a periodic report for each reporting period, tied to interim payments, and a final report at the end of the project that sets the final grant amount.

There will be one or several interim payments linked to a periodic report, depending on the duration of the project. At the end of the project, the consortium will be invited to submit a report on the basis of which the final grant amount will be calculated.
